Workers compensation insurance is legally required by businesses in California. When a worker is injured on the job, they’re entitled to support through their employer’s plan; however, often there is difficulty understanding how to use the service and how to get immediate assistance especially after a severe injury. Injured workers that don’t make contact with a claims manager within 24hr significantly increase there chances of a longer than average recovery time, and less than full recovery. Injured workers that make a connection with a claims manager within 24hrs of their incident achieve much better outcomes including direction to high quality vendors, reduced time to receive care, and ultimately a smoother transition back to work.
